We are happy to report that a ruling has been issued by the Court of International Trade in the lawsuit in which we are a plaintiff (Tabacos de Wilson v. United States). The Court has ruled that CBP must publish the final regulations for TFTEA drawback by December 17, 2018. This would enable Accelerated Payment to be issued for TFTEA claims. We see this as a monumental decision that benefits all of our clients and the entire drawback community. CBP has 60 days to appeal, but indications are that this December date is likely to be upheld. We will inform you of any changes or further developments as they occur.
